This MVIT (Machine Vision and Information Transfer) lab has been established to perform research works, academic services, and industrial developments, to lift-up and enhance knowledge and technologies in machine vision emphasizing (but not limited to) on medical image analysis, biometrics on human and animal, and smart camera system.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran
Worapan Kusakunniran received the B.Eng. degree in computer engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from UNSW, in cooperation with the Neville Roach Laboratory, National ICT Australia, Kensington, Australia, in 2013.
He is currently a Lecturer with the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University, Nakhonpathom, Thailand. He is the author of several papers in top international conferences and journals. His current research interests include biometrics, pattern recognition, image processing, computer vision, multimedia, and machine learning.
Dr. Kusakunniran served as a Program Committee Member for the IEEE Workshop on the Applications of Computer Vision (WACV) 2013. He has also served as a Reviewer for several international conferences and journals, such as the International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal based Surveillance (AVSS), the Pattern Recognition (PR), the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B: Cybernetics (TSMCB), the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (TIFS), and the IEEE Signal Processing Letters (SPL). He was a recipient of ICPR Best Biometric Student Paper Award in 2010.
